Sondre Rasch is co-founder and CEO of SafetyWing, an all-remote company on a mission to build a global social safety net for digital nomads and remote workers. Sondre studied economics and computer science then worked as a social policy advisor for the government of Norway. Dissatisfied with the slow pace of change, he founded a platform for freelance designers called SuperSide (Y Combinator 2016). Through this work, he discovered the lack of a social safety net for people working on the internet. This inspired the creation of SafetyWing (Y Combinator 2018), which has so far raised $50 million in venture capital funding and whose globally distributed team consists of 150 people from 60+ countries around the world.
